ABOUT US

Located on a little corner in historic downtown Killdeer, Buckskin’s building has roots reaching back to the early 1900’s. Owners Nanette and Todd Edmondson host, bartend and end most nights with a hand full of cards or a few cold ones.

Our chef and owners select daily specials commited to local, seasonal and high quality ingredients. We build relationships with ranchers from western North Dakota to provide the very best prime select beef. We are proud of our local ranchers and showcase the best beef and beer you can find anywhere in North Dakota.

Buckskin Chophouse has an old time 19th century charm with a warm inviting atmosphere. Our walls feature significant snapshots of Killdeer’s rich history in rodeo and the Wild West. We have rebuilt the original butcher shop from the 1930’s in the basement for meat processing and we cut all of our steaks in house. Our Chophouse dining room is open Friday and Saturday and if you sit in the dining room you can hand select your own steak from our specialty cuts.

From the outside of our building you can see the rich history we are dedicated to preserving. As a family business with our ancestral roots here, it is important to us that the local history is honored and Buckskin continues to be a touchstone of the Killdeer community.

DAILY Cuts

Friday through Sunday we showcase our house aged prime rib with two sides selected by our chef including fresh bread and a garden salad. We are well known for our delicious aged ribeye steaks for dinner and our tender rib iron cut served with beer cheese fondue as and appetizer. Come in Tuesday through Sunday and enjoy a delicious rustic meal served with love from our family.

Our menu is simple, delicious and always changing.
